Hello everyone, it’s that time of the week again, The DiRT Roadbook!
Lancia Delta S4 Rallycross & MG Metro 6R4 Rallycross – Coming July 30
The next cars from Season 2 of DiRT Rally 2.0 are coming in a few days, adding to the roster of Group B Rallycross cars already in the game. This time round it’s 2 of the meanest machines around, the Lancia Delta S4 Rallycross and the MG Metro 6R4 Rallycross. Big power, big bodywork and 4-wheel drive, these cars are absolute beats and will be like rockets on the tightest of Rallycross circuits.
Both of these cars are releasing on July 30. Please note that depending on your platform and region the release time will vary, so don’t worry if you cannot find them right away. Some storefronts update in the mornings, some in the afternoons and some in the evenings. No matter where you play the game however, you should be motoring by the end of the day.
Both of these cars are available as part of Season 2’s content. If you’ve got the Deluxe Edition of the game these cars will be waiting for you once they go live, and if you’re a Standard Edition player you can upgrade to the Deluxe Content Pack below to get all content from Seasons 1 and 2:
- DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Content Pack: Steam
- DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Content Pack: PlayStation
- DiRT Rally 2.0 Deluxe Content Pack: Xbox
Wales Rally Stage Runs
It’s been just over a week since Wales Rally graced DiRT Rally 2.0 with its presence and I’ve already seen some great onboards and screenshots form you all on the forums and social. We got into the action a bit ourselves too, with Jon Armstrong providing a masterclass on both main Stages. I’m relatively quick but seeing the sheer speed he takes some of these courses ins mind-blowing; I swear he’s deliberately jumping sideways on a few of those sections in order to carry corners at full speed, impressive stuff.
We’re looking to do a bit more with our YouTube channel in the future, with more videos like this and the Welcome to Wales show we did last week. I’d love to know what you all think of the recent videos and what you’d all like to see in the future, so be sure to head into the YouTube comments and share your thoughts, and subscribe to the channel for more.
Jon Armstrong wins the Down Rally!
Jon’s not only a quick one behind the wheel in-game, he’s a flyer in real-life too! Last weekend he went to Ireland with codriver Noel O Sullivan to take on the Down Rally, piloting a MINI World Rally Car. Throughout the day he was near the top of the times, and as things progressed the chances of victory were only increasing. He came back to Codemasters on Monday with a trophy and a big smile on his face, so it’s obvious things went well! Check out onboard footage of his Stage 9 run above, and join me and the team in congratulating the duo on their success!
Cooler Master DiRT Rally 2.0 Custom PC
You may have seen our friends at Mnpctech sharing progress of an awesome PC build over the past few months but for those that haven’t here’s the full thing!
To celebrate the launch of DiRT Rally 2.0 they put together a custom machine inspired by the Ford Fiesta R5 and its DiRT Rally 2.0 livery. Looking at the specs it’s got the power to match its looks too, with an Intel i9 9900K processor, Nvidia RTX 2080 graphics card and everything else you need to run the game at 4K in max settings. Check out the video above for an overview of the machine, and the blog below for the full build story.
Side-note; the giveaway’s already been completed but you can still bask in the glory of this mighty rig.
July is coming to an end and many of you are curious about what’s coming next. I can’t say much right now but to give a little tease, August will be a big month for DiRT Rally 2.0. I’m excited to share more with you all when the time comes, but until then I hope you all have a good weekend and a lot of fun with Wales Rally and next week’s Rallycross cars.
See you all soon!
